The Worlds Biggest Gumball Machine

Loyalty New Zealand wanted to create a ‘BIG’ impact for their new Fly Buys ‘Sweet Deals’ campaign. Clemenger’s came up with the concept of a giant billboard sized, working gumball machine! They came to us, as we have a reputation for delivering the quirky seemingly impossible jobs.

At 5.1 metres wide x 2.6 metres tall and holding 35,000 gumballs, it was a BIG gumball machine! The challenge was to create a mechanism that was robust enough that it would survive and dispense that many gumballs. We did and it did! Customers swiped their Fly Buys card and received a free gumball.

The unit also had to break down into easily manageable sections so that it could be freighted and installed in various sites around the country.
